Falls the flower

The seven petals of the sea

join together in this corolla

with the diadem of love:

Everything happened in the to-and-fro

of a rose that fell in the water

when the river came to the sea.

Thus a scarlet bubble

leapt from day enamored

to the thousand lips of the wave

and a rose slipped

towards the sun and over the salt.
