A symphony of seen things (mostly pistons, whisks, the eye of Kiki of Montparnasse—as lovely as the rest of her—hats, shoes) and things seen (reflected in a ball, kaleidoscopic, animated), organized by the great painter with first a magnificent eye, then a thoroughly well-balanced structure.
