Dr. Phibes Rises Again!

A curious, recherché, and very brilliant satire. At a time appointed in the stars, Dr. Phibes sets forth with his late wife to Egypt and revivification on the river of life that flows beneath a pharaoh’s tomb.

His rival, an ancient man kept vital by an elixir nearly gone, also seeks the secret.

The technique is not very far from Ken Russell, on a ground of Julian’s The Phantom of the Opera and Freund’s The Mummy.
