Malone
Clive Donner’s
Rogue Male is the abbreviated text in the dreamlike opening on a
seaplane coming into harbor out of Riefenstahl’s Triumph des Willens.
The job gets done
in the peaceful valley of Comstock, Oregon, bought up by a very wealthy crazy
with the purity of the race on his mind.
Gerald Hirschfeld
takes the cinematography well in hand, Cokliss superbly manages the actors, the
thing is done so well that between the two of them there are no seams, the
scenery is so eloquent, the actor’s faces exactly reflect every moment,
the buildings occupied by the virtual regime speak accurately against it.
