Gai Dimanche!
There’s
nothing like the circus, Rhum (“de Medrano”) et Tati emerge from the Métro after a night’s sleep and conceive a tour of
the country with other people’s clientele (British) and money.
That’s the
massive satire that floats along through Tati’s
jour de fête to Play Time, a gross imposition handled spectacularly (cf. for the title’s sake Truffaut’s
Vivement dimanche!).
