Christmas Show
The Monkees

Little Melvin Vandersnoot turns up his nose at Christmas, the boys have to babysit him.

They all but go to the ends of the earth for the trimmings of a proper Christmas, and fail in every attempt, to their cost. The Vandersnoot scion is utterly unmoved.

They withdraw, to bethink themselves. The boy reflects in solitude on their blundering, comical labors.

Santa Claus (Mickey) brings a gift, which is happily received.

A very cogent reading of Miracle on 34th Street, full of remarkable gag material. Cast and crew hobnob on the set at the close, The Monkees sing “Riu Riu Chiu” a cappella.
