A house

Someone touches a stone and then bursts

the stone and the bits

recombine anew:

it is the task

of the young gods expelled

from the solitary garden.

It is the task of

breaking, reforming,

smashing, cementing, besting

until that very rock

obeyed the hands of Aguilera,

the eyes of Antonio and Recaredo,

the head of don Alejandro.

Thus are houses made on the coast.

And then enter and exit footsteps.
